Following extensive development and popular demand, we are proud to introduce our most versatile product yet: the Custom QR Code Utility Tag.
Designed to seamlessly link physical items to digital databases, profiles, or contact information, this highly durable metal tag is engineered for long-term use in demanding environments. Whether you are managing an industrial inventory or securing your personal luggage, these tags provide a permanent, scannable link that won't let you down.
The Difference is in the Depth
When you rely on a QR code in the field, a faded or scratched matrix renders the tag completely useless. That is why we utilise physical, deep engraving rather than standard surface-level laser etching.
The QR code matrix is precision-milled deep into the metal. This friction-resistant process ensures the code will not fade, wash away, or rub off through daily wear and tear. Optimised for high contrast, the deep engraving guarantees rapid recognition by both standard smartphone cameras and commercial 2D barcode scanners.
Purpose-Built Materials
Every tag is cut from 3mm thick metal with smooth, rounded edges, available in two uncompromising materials:
- Grade 304 Stainless Steel: Boasting high tensile strength, this metal is rust-proof and highly resistant to weathering and chemicals. It is our top recommendation for industrial, outdoor, and heavy-use applications.
- Solid Brass: A dense, non-sparking metal with inherent corrosion resistance. Perfectly functional in marine and outdoor environments, the brass will naturally oxidise over time without ever compromising the depth or readability of your engraved code.
Adaptable Error Correction
To adapt to varying operational environments, you can now configure the data redundancy level of your QR matrix when ordering. Higher error correction allows the code to be scanned even if partially damaged or obscured by dirt:
- Standard (Low Redundancy): Generates the least dense matrix, allowing for maximum data capacity (perfect for longer URLs) and faster scanning at a distance. Best suited for clean, controlled environments.
- Medium (Balanced Redundancy): Our standard operational baseline. This balances matrix density with moderate fault tolerance, allowing the code to sustain minor surface obstructions like scratches or mud without failing. Recommended for general-purpose deployment.
- High (Maximum Redundancy): Maximum fault tolerance. The tag remains fully operational even if up to 30% of the matrix is physically destroyed or heavily obscured by debris. This generates a highly dense matrix (best utilised with short URLs) and is highly recommended for heavy industrial, tactical, or extreme weather applications.
Endless Applications
Because you provide the destination URL, the deployment options are entirely up to you. Primary applications include:
- Asset & Equipment Tracking: Link machinery, tools, or IT assets directly to maintenance logs, digital instruction manuals, or your inventory management system.
- Property & Luggage Identification: Attach to toolboxes, gear bags, or luggage. The code can scan directly to a secure owner contact page for rapid recovery.
- Medical & Emergency Data: Provide first responders with instantaneous smartphone access to critical health records, allergies, or emergency protocols.
- Pet & Working Dog ID: Link to a secure registry containing owner details, microchip data, and vital veterinary records.
Ready for Deployment
Available in 30mm or 35mm sizes, each tag is designed with a standard mounting hole fully compatible with heavy-duty split rings, wire cables, or zip ties.
To order, simply provide your required URL or text string and select your preferred error correction level during configuration. Our system will convert your data into a standard QR matrix and precision-mill it into your selected metal.
